General practice

  • Working as (outside) counsel for multiple companies, enterprises, families, professionals, foreigners, and overseas Taiwanese to deal with transnational investment, contracts, corporate, applications for permits and certificates, will and estate, and other non-litigation affairs.
  • Representing or defending government units, companies, and individuals in more than one hundred cases in Taiwan, including civil law, labor law, criminal law, administrative disputes, family law, and compulsory enforcement cases, in the past three years. 

M&A, IPO and transnational transactions

  • A famous car dealer group's acquisition of the shares in the Taiwan subsidiary of a transnational non-life insurance company  (representing the seller).
  • A famous financial holding company's acquisition of the shares in the Taiwan subsidiary of a transnational life insurance company  (representing the buyer),  
  • A listing electronics company’s transfer of the shares in its subsidiary,  
  • A listing computer company’s development project of a top-ranking shopping mall with its transnational business partner, 
  • IPO of Asia Pacific Telecom, Taiwan Pelican Express, and other projects of preparation of listing documents, and   
  • many other projects/works of due diligence, negotiation, discussion with the authorities, and drafting transaction documents of the joint venture or transnational transactions. 

Labor Law

  • Being experienced in employment and labor litigation and mediation and representing the Taipei City Government’s Department of Labor, several famous transnational and local companies and organizations, such as LCY Chemical Corp., Central News Agency, Taipei American School and TNT Skypak International, and many foreign or domestic employees and having an enormous experience in all aspects of representing the competent authority, employer and employee,
  • Continuing to assist transnational and local companies to deal with the relevant labor law affairs, and
  • Representing more than 10 plaintiffs and defendants in employment and labor litigations and mediations on average and providing a speech regarding foreigners’ work permits system in the Global Health Program, College of Public Health, National Taiwan University (Working in Taiwan Law and Practice) since 2020.

  • Constitutional Court Cases of 111-Hsien-pan-4 (Case on Status Act For Indigenous Peoples) and 111-Hsien-pan-14 (Case on Irrigation Act), 
  • The Central News Agency case (assisting CNA to terminate its journalist and being supported by the court),
  • The Tzu Chi University Student case (representing an injured student to win a civil re-trial), 
  • The Master Wok case (defending trademark infringement and acquiring consecutive two non-prosecution decisions),
  • The Taichung Dental Clinic Software cases (defending copyright infringement and acquiring consecutive six non-prosecution decisions), 
  • The 2014 Kaohsiung Gas Explosion cases (industrial safety and administrative regulation), 
  • The Sanyang case (the legality of the supervisors of the Sanyang Industry Co.),  
  • The Sinotech case (criminal charge regarding procurement project),  
  • The SOGO cases (several litigations regarding the provisional administrators and the shareholders’ meetings),  
  • Inventec v. Vitec (transnational trade dispute),   
  • Many other confidential cases regarding construction disputes, right of control, corporate governance, and
  • Participation in several litigations and arbitration cases, including the “Hsichih” Trio case (assisting to incorporate US forensic scientist Henry Lee’s forensic report as the key evidence into the briefs to rescue the three death row inmates who were found innocent in the end)
